Objective

Minimize voltage and frequency fluctuation in a microgrid under standalone operation condition using
(1) Droop and supervisory control strategies;
(2) Hybrid energy storage (supercapacitors and batteries) current control strategies.

Features

  • Restore grid frequency and voltage magnitude: Combining droop and supervisory control, it is possible to change the starting point of the droop curves and hence to bring the grid frequency and voltage amplitude back to their rated values.
  • Automatic current distribution: Separate the DC link current reference as low frequency component which will be sent to batteries and high frequency component which will be sent to supercapacitors.
